Session Themes

Metro 2024

I will be back in Florida this July for Metrocon 2024!

Things are a little different this year. I'm trying something new. I am booking exactly four sessions, each with its own direction and theme. When they book, they book, and that's it. Prior clients do get priority. If they spark anything in you, give me your input, and we can make something work together.

Metropolitic

$375.00Up to 4
Morning 1-2 Hours 16-20 Best

There's so much to see around here, and I've barely seen any of it.

I'm bored of hotel gardens and convention grounds. Let's wander for a while and find something more interesting. I want to fill our backgrounds with tall buildings and highway overpasses.

This session will probably have a little overlap with the riverwalk session below, but the way I want to approach it is different. For one, I want to go in the morning. Earlier is better, in my opinion, so it might be best for early risers or easy outfits. I want to go farther away from the convention center, too. I've never seen the full extent of the walkable areas in this part of Tampa. That will be easier during the day than at night. This session will also be faster and more playful, with less time on setup. Shooting during the day is just easier.

I will take solo models, pairs, or groups up to four people. Let's go exploring!

Coastline

$725.00No Limit
Midday 2-3 Hours A Lot

Let's drive to the beach! I miss the beach.

Bonus points if you can actually drive me to the beach. I'm coming down to Florida on a train, so I'll be borrowing cars and/or hitching rides the whole time. I'd probably knock down the price, too. If you wanted to buy me lunch...

I haven't been to the beach since I moved out of Florida. I've actually never been to the Gulf Coast at all, only the Atlantic, so this would be a new experience for me. Beach photoshoots are always so much fun.

I'm imagining something around mid-day, either morning or afternoon. If you really wanted a sunset background, though, I wouldn't argue. Because it's a decent drive from the convention grounds, I'd expect to spend somewhere around two to three hours there. I would want to bring a good selection of equipment so we can experiment with lots of different ideas.

I would accept singles or couples, but I have to admit, it's always more fun going to the beach with a big group. I'm not putting any limits on party size here.

Riverwalk

$375.001-2
Evening 1-2 Hours 16-20 Best

The river fills with lights at night.

Every Metrocon, I make a point to be outside, by the river, at night. The riverwalk really lights up after sunset. It makes an excellent background, and it's fun to explore.

I want to take my time and really focus on making the best photographs possible here. I've shot multiple sessions on the riverwalk already, but I know I can push it farther. I am imagining a slower session, with more equipment, and more time to prepare for each shot. I'm looking for something really special. Want to do that with me?

Lobby Bobbing 2024

$225.00Solo
Late 45-60 Minutes 12-16 Best

I have to explore every single hotel I stay in. I have to.

I have to do at least one hotel photoshoot at every convention I attend. Metrocon is no different. If we're staying in two different hotels, that's even better.

This will probably be shorter, faster, and lighter on equipment. It's not a good idea to push boundaries or take up too much space in places like this. Hotel employees have plenty else to worry about, especially during a convention. I would expect this to last for an hour or less, and I would hope to get at least a dozen really good pictures out of it. If you're up to sneaking around and exploring at night, after most of attendees have gone to bed (or taken up partying), this is the session for you.

Too Much? Trade Me.

I am no longer doing mini-sessions! This is a big change in my pricing structure. I'll go into the details and thought process later, but for now, there will be no way to book quick or custom sessions, only the sessions I lay out in advance.

If those are too much for you, and you still want a few pictures, trade me something! It doesn't have to be anything in particular--it could be lunch, extra merch, a favor, or a small tip. Be creative! I care more about human connection than I do about rigid pricing structures or "profitable business models." I just want my work to make people happy. So, if you have something to trade, I'll see if I can squeeze in some time to see you.
